In the north of Colombia, a collective of Indigenous coffee growers known as Anei (from the Arhuaco word for “good” or “delicious”) has gained global recognition for its organic growing methods, sustainable practices, and, of course, wonderfully full-flavoured coffees. In addition to Anei’s environmental efforts in agriculture, the beans they supply are transported to the roasters by sailboat, where they’re roasted using hydroelectric power.
