Trader Joe's Organic Black Beans, 439g

Scientifically known as Phaselous vulgari, black beans are quite popular in the cuisines of Latin and South America, as well as those of the Southwestern USA. TJ’s Organic Black Beans are low in sodium and a good source of fibre. They’re tender and almost meaty in texture – this may very well be why they’re a perennial favourite protein source for vegetarians. Or, it may be because they are so satisfying, whether enjoyed on their own or used in recipes. Or, it may have something to do with the fact that they’re so wonderfully affordable. Serve them with rice, wrap them up in tortillas, or really go for the protein gold and serve them alongside a piece of grilled fish or lean pork chop.
