TJ's Nutritional Yeast is produced by culturing active yeast with glucose (often beet molasses or sugarcane) for several days. The yeast is deactivated with heat, fortified with B vitamins, dried and packaged. The process results in golden flakes that provide 3 grams of protein and just 10 milligrams of sodium per 1 tablespoon serving.
